How ClinPlacer aligns with the Kenya Data Protection Act and the regulatory expectations of nursing and medical training institutions.
Regulators, accreditation bodies, and procurement teams all ask the same underlying question: can you prove it? Here's how ClinPlacer helps you answer yes.
ClinPlacer is built for a sector where compliance isn't optional — nursing and medical training institutions, healthcare facilities, and professional councils all depend on accurate, verifiable placement records.
This page describes how the Platform is designed to support your Institution's own compliance obligations. It doesn't replace your Institution's responsibility to meet its own regulatory requirements — see our Terms of Service for how that responsibility is shared.
ClinPlacer processes personal data in line with the core principles of the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019:
Full detail on how we collect, use, and protect personal data is in our Privacy Policy.
Kenya's clinical training sector is overseen by multiple professional councils and regulatory bodies, each with its own placement and documentation standards — including the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK), the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (MCK), the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB), and others.
ClinPlacer's features — rotation tracking, accreditation-hour monitoring, and exportable reports — are designed with these standards in mind, so Institutions can produce the documentation their regulator expects.
Alignment, not certification
ClinPlacer is not itself accredited or licensed by NCK, MCK, PPB, or any other council. These bodies regulate institutions and individual practitioners, not software platforms. Meeting their requirements remains your Institution's responsibility; ClinPlacer is a tool to help you do so.
To support inspection and accreditation reviews, the Platform maintains:
Institutional and student data is stored and processed on the cloud infrastructure described in our Data Processing Agreement. Where data is processed outside Kenya, we apply safeguards consistent with the cross-border transfer requirements of the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
We aim to be precise about what ClinPlacer has and has not been independently verified for.
No certifications claimed
ClinPlacer does not currently hold, and does not claim, certifications such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or HIPAA. If and when any such certification is obtained, it will be stated here explicitly along with supporting documentation.
If your Institution's own compliance review requires documentation from ClinPlacer, we can provide:
We update this page as regulations, our practices, or our sector understanding evolve. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date.
